A national level swimmer was allegedly molested Thursday by a youth at Bally in Howrah district.
Police said the girl was stopped this morning when she was going on a bicycle for her tuitions at Bally town.
Police said Arindam Makhal, who molested her, has been arrested.
Locals caught Makhal on the spot after the girl raised raised an alarm. During interrogation Makhal confessed his friend had placed a bet with him that he would get money if he could taunt the girl and molest her, police said.
