A theft was reported in a shop near SDP college in Daresi area on Saturday late night.
As per the owner of the shop, she suffered a loss of Rs 2 lakh.
According to available information, locks of the shop were found missing and the shutter of the shop was broken.
The owner of the boutique, Aarti, came to the shop on Sunday morning and found the shop broken open. In her statement to the police, Aarti said the thieves stole garments worth Rs 2 lakh and Rs 15,000 in cash from the shop.
Assistant Sub-Inspector Bhupinder Singh said the police had initiated an investigation.
