When a 12-year-old Varun Dhawan got the first Salman Khan dose

Actor Varun Dhawan, who made a successful debut in Karan Johar's film Student Of The Year, recalls an incident when he first got the real dose of stardom. All thanks goes to the Bollywood Godfather and superstar Salman Khan, who had actually taught Varun the real meaning of mass hysteria.

While talking to a leading daily, Varun Dhawan narrated an incident, when he was just 12-years-old. The junior Dhawan said that he had once accompanied his director father David Dhawan on the sets of Biwi No 1, that featured Salman Khan, Karisma Kapoor and Sushmita Sen in the leads.

Varun said that there was a shot, that took place on the San Francisco Bridge, and since it was very cold, he and his elder brother Rohit went and sat inside Salman Khan's car along with the actor. "Suddenly, Salman asked us if we want to listen to mass hysteria." Dhawan said. Then, Sallu simply stuck his feet out of the van and "that's all it took for the fans waiting to catch a glimpse of their star to go crazy". Salman's fans started screaming on top of their voices and that was the time when Varun first got the taste about how and what stardom is.
