'Groomed for top job'
Sixty-two-year-old Kochouseph Chittilappilly borrowed Rs 1 lakh from his father in 1977 to start a manufacturing business of voltage stabilizers, in Thrissur, Kerala. Having done his master's degree in Physics, Chittilappilly, a first-generation entrepreneur, wanted to do something radically different from what his father expected of him - becoming a college lecturer and leading a comfortable life.
Thirty-two-year-old Mithun Chittilappilly, his youngest son may not have followed in Chittilappilly senior's radical footsteps, but he inherited his spirit of entrepreneurship.
